The Big Clothes Swap : FT Lauren, Founder of The Club Preloved

This year Stephens Scown’s annual Pink Event goes green! Embracing our B-Corp values, we invite you to the Big Clothes Swap. Why shop, when you can swap?

You are invited to bring at least one item of pre-loved women’s or children’s clothing for swapping* (or drop donations to us in advance). Everything will be set out anonymously in our new Events Room, so that you can refresh your wardrobe for free. Think of it as Vinted, but without the price tag or the numerous trips to InPost lockers. Any clothes left over at the end of the evening will be donated to local Exeter charity shops.

What else?

Before swapping, and over drinks and nibbles, we will be joined by Lauren Cooley for a talk on preloved and circular fashion. Lauren is a Devon-based circular fashion advocate and founder of The Club Preloved (@theclubpreloved), the pioneering sustainable seller’s community. With a passion for vintage fashion and sustainable living, Lauren also founded Scamps, an ethically sourced vintage and preloved kids’ fashion shop. Her dedication to promoting preloved fashion has been featured on BBC Radio Devon, and she actively inspires others to shop more consciously.

*Please bring as many items as you would like. If you do not have anything to donate, we would still love to host you. A £5 donation to our office charity, Balloons, is a welcome alternative
